Our School Prayer
Dear Lord,
This is our school
let peace dwell here
let the rooms be full of contentment
let love abide here, love of God, love of one another and love of life itself.
For let us remember that as many hands build a house
so many hearts make a school.
Amen. |

Holy Trinity School holds firmly to the Catholic teaching that each one of us is made in the image of God and as such is worthy of love, care and respect. All that we do is set within this framework.
We endeavour to provide the best possible education for all of our children so that each one achieves his/her full potential, irrespective of gender, race, creed or ability.
We appreciate the many varied talents of our children and encourage them to recognise them in themselves and others.
We are concerned about educating the whole child, thus preparing them to face the challenges of the 21st century, taking their place in society as compassionate and responsible citizens. |

RC Ethos
Holy Trinity is a voluntary aided Roman Catholic Primary School within the Archdiocese of Birmingham. As such pupils are educated in accordance with the Catholic faith and the day-to-day activities of the school reflect this holistic "Christ at the Centre" philosophy.
We put Christ at the Centre by integrating Gospel values and the teachings of the Catholic Church into all aspects of learning, teaching and the totality of school life. A child's journey through and with the school will, therefore, be also a journey of faith. |
A letter from
Frank Hull SJ, Parish Priest from 2000-2008
Dear Parents
Education has been defined as the imparting or acquiring of knowledge. It is a process that begins at our birth
and continues till we die. This life-long learning starts at home and it is there that the foundations are laid.
We learn to live together, to love and to share and care for others. For a Christian it means learning about
God’s love for each individual and how we can respond to that love, to pray and express our thanks to God in
deeds as well as in words.
At Primary School we learn basic skills, such as reading, writing and numeracy, which will enable us to go on
increasing our knowledge more and more, and fit us for Secondary, and possibly Tertiary education. These will
equip us for our chosen career and help us to earn a living.
A Catholic school, especially a good one such as Holy Trinity, aims to do all this - and more. Through
prayerful assemblies, religious instruction periods, School Masses in the church, preparation for the Sacraments
of Penance, Holy Communion and Confirmation, the children are trained to be not just good citizens of this
country but members of Christ’s body and part of His kingdom. True education is aimed at enabling the
children not merely to earn a living but to attain to eternal life, which is the ultimate goal for every one of us.
‘We work together” is a motto which epitomises the attitude of Holy Trinity school. It is a great asset to the
parish and I commend it whole-heartedly. |
