Year 6 Entrepreneurs

Year 6 pupils demonstrated fantastic creativity, teamwork and enterprise skills as part of their Entrepreneur Project. They worked hard to create and sell a variety of products, including homemade lemonade, fudge, bookmarks and 3D-printed items. The project was a great success, with students showcasing their business skills while raising money for a worthy cause. We are incredibly proud of their enthusiasm, initiative and dedication throughout the project. A huge well done to all of the Year 6 entrepreneurs for their hard work and effort in raising over £400. All proceeds raised will be donated to Katherine House Hospice, helping to make a positive difference in the wider community.

Sports Day With a Difference

The children enjoyed a modified Sports Day on Thursday morning, with activities adapted to ensure everyone stayed safe and comfortable in the warm weather. Despite the heat, pupils showed fantastic enthusiasm, determination and team work throughout the event.The focus was on house team challenges, with children working together to earn points, encourage one another and demonstrate excellent sportsmanship. Congratulations to Gloucester, our winning team, for their outstanding effort and team spirit! Well done to all the children for taking part so positively and making the morning such a success.

Orienteering

Our Year 5 class enjoyed an exciting orienteering challenge at the secondary school, using their map-reading and intuition skills to find their way around the course. They worked brilliantly as a team, persevered through the hot weather, and demonstrated their Holy Trinity values by respectfully encouraging one another and showing consideration throughout the challenge.

French Day

On Tuesday, the children came in dressed in red, white and blue and enjoyed a wonderful French Day filled with exciting activities and delicious food. They had the opportunity to sample a range of traditional French treats, including cheese, pâté, French bread and olives. Throughout the day, children also took part in games of boules and enjoyed a special French-themed assembly, where they learned more about French culture and traditions. A huge thank you to Mrs Stansfield and Mrs Rickard for organising such an enjoyable and memorable experience for the children. Their hard work helped make the day both educational and fun for everyone involved.

Move Up Day

Excitement filled the school on Thursday, as children took part in our annual Move-Up Day, spending time in their new classrooms and meeting their teachers for the next academic year. The day provided a wonderful opportunity for children to become familiar with new routines, explore their learning environments and look ahead with confidence to the year ahead. We were also delighted to welcome our new Reception children, who joined us for a special visit. They enjoyed exploring their new classroom, meeting staff and making new friends as they begin their journey as members of our school family. It was an enjoyable day for everyone, helping to ensure a smooth transition for all children. We look forward to seeing them continue to grow, learn and thrive in their new classes in September.

Maths Quiz Whizz

Huge congratulations to Peter, Peter and Eve in Year 3, who achieved an incredible 1st place in the recent Maths Quiz at CNS, against Year 4 pupils from other local schools. The team demonstrated great mathematical skills, teamwork and determination throughout, impressing everyone with their confidence and problem-solving abilities. Competing against older pupils makes their achievement even more remarkable. We are extremely proud of their success and of the fantastic way they represented our school. Well done, Peter, Peter and Eve – what a fantastic achievement!

St Peter & St Paul's Mass

On Monday, our whole school came together to celebrate the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul in a special Mass. It was a wonderful opportunity for pupils, staff and parishioners to gather in prayer and reflect on the lives of these two great saints, whose faith, courage and dedication helped spread the message of Jesus throughout the world. Throughout the celebration, children participated respectfully through readings, singing and prayer. The Mass reminded us of their importance of faith, perseverance and standing up for what is right, just as Saints Peter and Paul did.

This valuable resource is aimed at developing decoding across Key Stage 2. We are incredibly grateful for the PTA’s continued dedication and commitment to enriching the learning experiences of our children.

Visit From Our Local PCSO

Reception had a special visit from PSCOWes Smith, who spoke to the children about his role in the community. The pupils were very engaged and enjoyed learning about how the police help keep people safe.It was a valuable and informative session, and we thank PSCO Smith for taking the time to visit and inspire the children.

It's Been a Hot One

It has been an extremely hot week, and we would like to say a big well done to all the children for how well they have coped in the high temperatures. Thank you to parents and carers for your understanding and support as we have worked together to keep the children cool, comfortable, and safe throughout the week.

Breakfast Club enjoyed alfresco dining on Friday morning, with children making the most of the cooler outdoor space. This provided a lovely, relaxed start to the day, helping everyone stay comfortable while enjoying their breakfast together.
