Despite the rainy weather, Year One had a fantastic day at Warwick Castle.  While they were there, the children watched an archery display, the trebuchet being launched, scoured the towers and ramparts of the castle and took part in a ‘Meet the Monarchy tour’, where they discovered about Kings of the past including Henry VIII, King Harold and William the Conquerer and Charles I and Oliver Cromwell.   We also sat under a tree to have a soggy picnic.

After lunch, we got lost in the Horrible Histories Maze and managed a quick play in the playground.  However, the bright spirit and impeccable behaviour of all of the children made Mrs Butler-McLees and the school proud.  Well done Year One!
