Year 6 Yenworthy Residential

ear 6 set off for their residential trip to Yenworthy early on Monday morning. The residential trip was a fantastic experience filled with adventure, teamwork, and unforgettable memories. Set in the beautiful surroundings of Exmoor National Park, the children took part in a wide range of exciting outdoor activities designed to challenge them and build their confidence.

Throughout the week, the pupils enjoyed activities such as surfing, rock climbing, and canoeing. For many, it was their first time trying these sports, and they showed great enthusiasm and determination. Whether tackling the waves, climbing rocky cliffs, or paddling down peaceful rivers, every child gave their best effort and supported one another throughout.

Evenings were spent sharing stories, playing games, and reflecting on the day’s experiences. The children also learned valuable lessons about independence, resilience, and cooperation.

The trip was a resounding success, and all the children have gained new skills, stronger friendships, and a sense of achievement. A huge thank you to the staff at Yenworthy Lodge and the accompanying school staff Mrs Packham, Miss Hussian and Mr Whybrow for making it such a memorable adventure.
